Food Float Community Interest Company Data Protection Policy

May 2018

Food Float Community Interest Company (FF) holds personal data on its stakeholders including many of its customers. All stakeholders that wish to receive communications from FF are asked to provide an email address. Some stakeholders are also asked for their street address and phone number/s.  Contact details are kept for the purposes of sending information to customers about produce availability and for delivering produce. Contact data is also used to send volunteers requests for help and information about events. Directors and a few other stakeholders also receive information about FF’s general business situation, the weekly and annual accounts, as well as board meetings including the AGM. Stakeholders and customers are able to unsubscribe by writing to us at info@foodfloat.org or by replying to the sender if emails come from a personal email address (e.g. promotional emails about FF produce availability).

Stakeholder data is held for 7 years. After that time data will be deleted if there has been no contact from the stakeholder. There is no intention to hold personal data other than for stakeholders and customers, but if this is the case it will be deleted promptly on request or if otherwise discovered.

Data is occasionally shared between directors and producers. It is never shared with third parties or used for purposes other than those set out above.
